INVESTMENT DIRECTOR

Since his early years, Álvaro has thrived in the natural resource management industry in Mexico, Africa, and Central America, where he experienced first-hand the devastating impact of irresponsible agricultural practices. Since then, Alvaro has been fully committed to the institutionalization of Mexico's agriculture industry and the implementation of large-scale sustainable practices.

In his 15+ years of experience, he has worked as a Consultant for an Environmental NGO, as an Associate and Junior partner at an Agricultural Asset management firm where he co-led the fund raising and deployment of USD$ 70 million in three projects where he was a key member of the Management Team, and as an Independent Consultant in two M&A and two Debt transactions worth over USD$ 200 million.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, a Master’s degree in Food and Resource Economics and an MBA, both from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
